Description: Mid-Level Software Developer

Clearance: Active DoD Secret; TS/SCI strongly preferred; clearable to TS/SCI with CI polygraph required
Location: Stafford, Virginia, United States
Position Type: Full-Time/Regular
Experience: 2-5 years
Education: BS in Computer Science or Engineering (Master’s degree desirable)

Job Description:
-Candidate will perform software development using Java technologies for distributed web and enterprise applications for a project involving the capture, management, and use of sensitive data.
-Assist with requirements analysis, application design, code development, testing, code maintenance, and documentation.
-Interface with customers to gather and document requirements.
-Assist lead with overall system design.
-Help mid and junior-level developers with day to day tasks.
-Design, implement, and test functional capabilities based on customer requirements in a timely manner.
-Install and maintain software in production environments.
-Assist site customer and other on-site engineers in system problem diagnosis and troubleshooting, collection of problem information, writing discrepancy reports (DRs), and recommending fixes.

Experience and Skills:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
-2+ years of full time professional Java programming experience.
-Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
-Web GUI front end development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, JQuery) is highly desired.
-JEE (Java Enterprise Edition) experience (JDBC, JNI, JNDI, JMS, Servlet/JSP, EJB/JPA).
-Experience with Java Web application (e.g., Tomcat) servers or Java Applications servers (e.g. JBoss and/or Wildfly are highly desired).
-Developing Java applications that use relational databases (JDBC, SQL, and MySQL) is highly desirable.
-Developing multi-threaded and distributed Java applications.
-Web service experience (e.g., RESTFul Web services).
-Experience with design patterns (e.g., Model View Controller, etc.).
-Must be well organized, a good communicator, and capable of multi-tasking.
-Must possess strong analytical skills, and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Eligible Candidates must have:
-U.S. Citizenship.
-Active DoD Secret; TS/SCI strongly preferred; clearable to TS/SCI with CI polygraph required
-Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements associated with access to classified information.

Travel
-Limited CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required.
